New Supplies!

I got a really cool new enameling supply from Thompson Enamel- It's a white overglaze enamel that can be used to paint opaque white details over darker colors. I apply it the same way I apply my black overglaze linework in my other enamel pieces. I thin it out with a little turpentine and draw it on with a crow quill pen. When I fire it it fuses with the base coat to make a permanent drawing in enamel. This pendant is the first item I made with it. I think it's pretty nifty!

Hey, that is really cool! I love the red background color with the bright white design.

thanks! It's kind of like magic.
Now it's kind of reminding me of those cupcakes with the swirl of white frosting across the top. But that's ok because I love those cupcakes.

I also like the colour combination and the asymmetry of the design.

New supplies are great fun.
